Black Thought

For the release of the legendary Black Thought’s album ‘Streams Of Thought Vol 3: Cane And Able’ I was asked to create a looped visualizer for one of the album singles titled ‘Fuel’. The team at Republic records had seen a personal piece I had completed the year before that featured an animated carousel of myself in gradual states of distress and apathy (ha!) They were inspired by that direction and asked me to create a version for Black Thought to illustrate the conflict and internal struggles voiced in the song’s lyrics. Beyond getting to create a visual for one of the greatest rappers of all time, I was immensely thankful to be invited and encouraged to showcase work that was very personal, authentic and resonant with others in a way that made me feel celebrated for just being me.
